I need to follow up with Mike Riley _AT_ Sun to see if this
bug is being fixed.
The Solaris pcmcia patch added capability to the
pcelx driver to support the 574 card.
So be carefull if you are adding this card, since both
Sun and Lynnsoft support it.
Edit the /etc/driver_aliases file and remove the alias to the 574.
Now you should be then add the Lynnsoft drivers
Version 2.0 had a nasty problem of
mixing our lspcic driver with SUN's original pcmcia modules. Version 2.1
addressed this issue. Not sure what the problem was that you saw with
version 2.1
You'll need to take a close look at the pcpsm.conf file for the wireless configuration.
Most important is the ESSID & MODE. The ESSID string must match either your access point or the machine that you are targeting. The MODE should be set to Managed for an access point, or Demo-Ad-hoc for a point to point configuration. Probably be best to disable WEP encryption for all hardware (including the access point) initially, but if that's not possible, then you'll need to make sure that you are using the correct WEP key.
WEP
40bit 128 bit
Alpha 5 13
Hex 10 26
If you want to use DHCP, or /etc/hostname.xxx, you'll need
to move /etc/rcS.d/S99initpcmcia to /etc/rcS.d/S10initpcmcia.
