This 'ere is a solution provided by Steve Carbone as to how to perform a manual PPP dialout, for use with such nasties as challenge phrases, etc. As per the the requirements of this list, I am presuming it's not "officially official" THE word from Sun, but it does look handy, and would probably work. I have had many a request for this info, but no chance to actually try it yet, being the overworked and underpaid sysadmin I am. Regards, Pete. --------------19D89C67F0AAC1691A1824F2 Content-Type: message/rfc822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: inline Return-Path: Received: from demosthenes by demosthenes. Try: tip -38400 /dev/cua/pc1 (or pc0, depending on the slot) Then dial the number using at commands: atdt 1-555-555-5555 Then you should be able to log in and respond to the challenge with you token card. Once you're logged in and at a prompt, you should be able to type ~Caspppls This tells tip that you want to run a shell command. Aspppls will use your asppp.cf file. You should see that your ip address and routes will be set up correctly.
