[s-x86] Re: Problem with backup!!!



Yeah, Bob may be correct :-)
But is there any error message in your /var/adm/messages ?
Is your drive OnLine ?
Is a tape inserted in your drive ?
Is that medium OK ?
Is your drive rmt/1 ?
Is your SCSI bus terminated ?
Is tape head in your drive cleaned periodically ? 
have you tried to run "mt -f /dev/rmt/1 status" ?
