[s-x86] Installation failure

Hi all,

I'm trying to install Sol7 11/99 release and have failed.

After detecting the hardware, and  when I choose the CD to boot the Solaris kernel, I get the following error message:

boot: source: open of 'etc/bootrc' failed

and a prompt that is useless and I have to restart.
(ohh, and ofcource the Intel platform CD is IN the CD drive)

the CD drive I'm using is Wearnes CDD-820 IDE.

The HCL lists that the only supported Wearnes is the Wearnes CDD-120 ATAPI/IDE, and states "Must have at least BIOS 1.0", and I've got an 
Award BIOS ver 4.5.


So, is this a CD problem or what?
