 Try rdist, for usage, try man rdist.
 
 Here is a quick example-
 
  HOSTS = ( root@hosts.<domain> )
         FILES = (
         /home/src
         /home/proj
         /home/cmplr
      
         )
 ${FILES} -> ${HOSTS}
 install -R ;
 notify me@xxxxxxxxxxxxx;
 ----------------------------------------------------------
  Then you could run-
  
  /usr/bin/rdist -f ./distfile
