You may have a bad floppy.  Did you try reading the file under NT?

You can find floppy images at:
    http://soldc.sun.com/support/drivers/DeviceConfig7.html

Try downloading the same version and creating your own floppy.  Assuming
you are not talking about Solaris 8 here.

BTW - At best your CD changer will only work with CD 0 or maybe whatever
CD was last loaded.  Solaris does not support CD changers.
