[s-x86] Xsun G400 speed

Well I broke down after my ATI Rage Pro connector broke and bought a
Matrox G400 16 card.  After seeing that the Xsun server is supporting
this card and I can't find any G200s around, I took a gamble.  Well
after installing the proper patch, I was disappointed with the
performance.  I guess Sun just added "support" and no optimizations. 
My old ATI put it to shame, especially drawing paging using Netscape. 
I purchased an Xig license and grabbed the latest update that including
"support" for the G400 and I was thoroughly impressed.  Their code is
fast, no color flashing, no high cpu utilization, no latency on drawing
anything.  I was wondering if anyone else had this disappointment.  My
machine is an ASUS P2B-D dual PII 400, 384 megs ram, uw scsi disk
subsystem.
