Unless you configured a swap 'file' on /export/home. Any file system
is going to get slow when it approaches 95 to 98 percent full as
the disk write's turn from speed to space optimizations. You can
spread swap to different drives or controllers if you think your
filling the swap. My guess is the slowness is due to a lot of
disk blocking. Look at:

iostat -xcn 5

See if the %b column is upwards of 95 percent or higher on the /export/home
if it is just get a bigger faster disk for the partition.

If you really think your thrashing your system because of swap usage
you much better off doubling up on your physical memory.
