[s-x86] dns

Can someone please give me a list of what all is needed to enable dns on my
solaris 7 workstation ? I have edited the /etc/resolv.conf file to the
domain and I have edited the /etc/nsswitch file to have dns but when I type
domainname I get nothing. When I launch netscape I type in the host name and
I get nothing but when I input the IP address I get the web server home
page. I'm using Netscape Iplanet web server for solaris 7 version  4.1. Any
help would be rely helpful.
