[s-x86] DNS

All,

I have a linksys BEFRS81 router/firewall/switch
with the WAN port (DHCP) connected to a cable modem and
a couple of Solaris X86 8 (static IP) boxes attached to the
LAN ports. When I first configured this router I was having
trouble with the ISP changing the DNS servers regularly, so
I started configuring /etc/resolv.conf as follows:

nameserver 10.0.0.1

where 10.0.0.1 is the LAN IP address of my router. This config
has been working for quite awhile and still does with the exception
of nslookup.

nslookup www.sun.com

will hang then give an error message of 10.0.0.1 server not found.
I have a W2K box that gives the same error but does output the
nslookup info. Any Ideas?
